Re: Applying for the post of faculty position in the School of Electronics and Engineering.

Respected Sir/Madam:

I was excited to see your faculty position associate opening in the School of Science and Engineering, and I hope to be invited for an interview. I am currently PhD candidate in the School of Computer Science and Technology in Xi’an Jiaotong University of China, and will be gradueating in September 2022. My major duties include but not limited to basic experimental research, guiding graduate students in their lab experiments, and mentoring undergraduate students. My current research is related to intelligent traffic flow soltions for smart cities, specifically 3DCNN and graph theory involved in it. This reaserch will aid in understanding the growth of urbanization; traffic congestion remains a serious concern for large cities. Moreover, effective traffic forecast techniques that take traffic information into account for spatial linkage in order to forecast the near future traffic condition are necessary to deal with the complexity of large networks of traffic.

I will finished my PhD in Computer Science in September 2022 from Xi’An Jiaotong University (XJTU), China, under the supervision of Prof. Heli Sun. My PhD research’s primary focus relied on investigating data mining, knowledge discovery and smart city.

I have published four SCI papers in high profile impact factor international journals of the engineering field, and a few more publications are under consideration.

I am incredibly interested in this open faculty position position, where I can contribute to its focus identifying to use my knowledge to help educate fellow professionals, and thus improve awareness and understanding of our sector. I am keen to join the advertised position within your School of Science and Engineering because I believe that its rich history of academic research is a perfect match for my academic aptitude and my extensive career history.
