After graduating from Humboldt State University with a B.A. in English, Teacher Preparation, I was afforded the opportunity to teach in China for several years. I then returned to California and took several postgraduate courses in Second Language Acquisition, before again returning to China to teach. After my second stay in China, I returned to California to obtain my Secondary Teaching Credential. Upon completion of the credential program, I returned to China once again. During my nine years in China I dealt with diverse curriculum and language needs. I then returned to the U.S. and taught for a private academy at the high school level for six years, then transferred over to their sister school in China. I had hoped to stay there for a while longer, but encountered (Covid)visa problems .
