I am a determined, active and results oriented teacher with experience living and studying abroad, studying away from my home country several times including Germany during my high school years, Canada during my Undergraduate Degree and South Korea where I currently reside and teach. I ran my own tutoring sessions for Chinese Masters students while I studied for my own degree and have been involved in teaching through online teaching companies like Itutorgroup. I also have experience in a more informal capacity supporting students with improvised acting and debating, teaching workshops over a month that led a group of high school students from never having participated in debating to holding a full, competition standard debate in front of a live audience. I have experience teaching ESL and Drama students in a variety of settings.

I am currently teaching 6–14-year-olds at LF Academy in Seoul, teaching English concepts ranging from basics like the alphabet to presentation and essay writing skills at the top levels. I understand that, in order to engage young learners that it takes more than simply reading out of a book and encourage students to participate in games, activities and get the students moving so they can have fun and learn a lot all at the same time. I have also tutored students in academic English writing and presentation skills throughout my undergraduate degree, allowing students to improve their grades to 2:1 degree level in the UK system.

My teaching philosophy is student focused, aiming to let them learn as much useful English as possible while also enjoying themselves in the class. I believe in teaching based on student need, being clear and honest with students as to why they are learning what they are and what it will all lead to. I want students to challenge themselves in my class, encouraging them to take risks and make mistakes as they often lead to better learning than perfection. I seek to assess students constantly through fun activities and roleplaying, so students don’t even think they are being examined.

emphasizing their (then new) wireless Bluetooth headphone range.
This involved quickly learning Skullcandy’s wide variety of headphones for sale, selling those
headphones to the international passengers of the airport and reporting back on sales, competitors’
promotions. In this role I had to be highly organised, taking notes and photos of what I sold to who and
take notice of what opposing brands were doing, as well as learning to be able to interact with and find
common ground with people from international backgrounds who may not respond well to conversation
styles used in the UK.

In this campaign we were handing out samples of a newly blended Coca Cola Zero Sugar which
consisted of three roles: Brand Ambassador, Runner and Recycling hero. When assigned as a Brand
Ambassador, this involved engaging with the public, explaining the change in the recipe while still
providing a personal approach and friendly face. As a Runner I was tasked with restocking the barrels
with samples and ice, showing my determination and willingness to try everything, no matter how
physical or tiring it might be. As a recycling hero I traveled within a 1km radius of the job location,
clearing up cans and ensuring the streets were clean. This campaign took place in locations across
Scotland, showing my willingness to travel for work and my forward planning skills to ensure I always
arrived on time and presented well for the day’s work.
