School of Humanities and Social Science invites applications and nominations for:

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Chinese Language and Literature

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Humanities and Social Science

  1. a Ph.D. in Chinese language and literature or a related field;
  2. proven record of teaching excellence at tertiary level;
  3. a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship;
  4. excellent communication skills in Putonghua and a good command of written and spoken English.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. teaching University Core Chinese courses to all undergraduates, and possibly also other University elective courses related to Chinese culture and literature;
  2. designing e-learning materials;
  3. assisting in curriculum development and administrative assignments.

The appointee is expected to commence work in August 2022. A Ph.D. must be in hand prior to taking up the appointment.

 

Salary & Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made under the establishment of CUHK, Shenzhen and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the People’s Republic of China. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China.
