About NAS Ningbo, Fenghua (NAS Ningbo)

Opened in September 2018, NAS Ningbo provides a state of the art, world-class teaching and learning environment with a total student capacity of 3,500. Providing a unique international learning experience, NAS Ningbo offers students the best of eastern and western education resources and philosophies for students aged 6-18. The bilingual program is based on the Chinese K-12 curriculum blended with globally respected international curriculum elements and teaching methods. 1,386 IB candidates in total – 15.8% achieved 40 points and above

Global pass rate of 98.5%, up from 97.5% in the previous year

All but two of our schools offering the A-level curriculum achieved a pass rate of 100%.

About the role

We seek a talented and experienced leader in Psychological to continue to build upon the school’s tremendous success to date. This role is responsible for serve students’ psychological well-being, help school achieve its personalized education The successful candidate will:

  • Proactively communicate with executive principal, department principals, and relevant stake holders to accomplish work objectives.
  • Under the leadership of principals, establish the framework of psychological education and care for the whole school.
  • Share psychological knowledge and promote positive way of life in the school community.
  • Offer regular consultation to both students and staff who are in need.
  • Look into special cases and offer professional help.
  • Support student affairs coordinator by offering professional psychological intervention after serious student offense or during student behaviour correction process.
  • Support homeroom teachers or student parents in assessing students’ mental state and motives and look for solutions together.
  • Support MAC team in assessing applicants .
  • Support Boarding team in enrichment program development and offering.
  • Offer professional assistance to those who are having learning disability.
  • Develop multi-task skills.
  • Seek further knowledge and effective practices through training, counsellorship, and certification by professional organs.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will possess as below:

  • Bachelor’s degree above in psychology.
  • Has above 3 years proven working experience in school settings.
  • Certified practioner, related psychology certificates.
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills including relationship building, listening and questioning.
  • Good English, both spoken and written.
  • Caring and sympathetic personality

Selection process

The closing date for application is 30th June 2022. Due to global travel restrictions, all interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams/video call. There will be three stages of interview, including a panel interview.
