The School of Management and Economics (SME) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) is seeking applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at all levels: Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor.
This year we will have at least 4 openings for the position of Assistant Professor. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of finance are invited to apply. The starting date of the positions is flexible and can be as early as July 2023.
Our recruitment will be conducted in two recruiting cycles and this is an invitation for the first cycle. Shortlisted candidates in the first cycle will be interviewed online in late October to November 2022, around the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting. And shortlisted candidates in the second cycle will be interviewed around the American Finance Association Annual Meeting (January to February, 2023). By updating their applications by the second cycle’s deadline, those who applied in the first cycle will automatically be considered alongside candidates in the second cycle.

Job Qualifications:
Junior applicants should have (i) a PhD degree (when reporting for duty) in Finance or related areas; and (ii) high potential in teaching and research.
Candidates for Associate and Full Professor posts are expected to have demonstrated academic leadership. Appointment with tenure can be offered to candidates with outstanding research and teaching records.
Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-Shenzhen and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable to the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The appointment is based in Shenzhen, PRC.
