The School of Life and Health Sciences (LHS) at CUHK-Shenzhen is to pursue excellence in learning, discovery and innovation in life and health sciences for the benefit of human health and well-being. It strives to be an internationally recognized life and health science school that offers inspiring educational opportunities for students, conducts interdisciplinary research with global impact and serves the life and health science profession and the community with distinction. It will focus on providing students with rigorous, multi-disciplinary training that enable graduates to be leaders and innovators in life and health science professions. This will be accomplished by developing and offering curricula that integrate life sciences, health sciences, research and bioengineering design. Research programs at the School of Life and Health Sciences are in line with the research directions of the Arieh Warshel Institute of Computational Biology, the Kobilka Institute of Innovative Drug Discovery, and the Ciechanover Institute of Precision and Regenerative Medicine.
Positions and Qualifications
The School of Life and Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated chemist with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry and familiarity with DNA encoded chemistry. The qualified candidate should have skills and experience in designing and synthesizing DNA encoded chemical libraries and use these libraries to identify novel chemicals to protein targets. Knowledge and skills in optimizing these chemical matter to drug candidates are highly desirable.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
Salary will be comparable to international standards, commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-Shenzhen, and employee benefits will be provided according to the relevant labor laws of Mainland China as well as CUHK-Shenzhen regulations.
