Brief Introduction of WFMU

Weifang Medical University (WFMU) is Shandong full-time medical university, located in the famous World Kite Capital Weifang City of Shandong Province. It was established in 1951 and renamed to the current name in 1987.

WFMU has two campuses, Fuyan Mountain and Yu River Campus. The university covers more than 1.2 million square meters with a construction area of more than 630,000 square meters. There are 24 full-time doctoral students, more than 1,400 postgraduates, more than 13,000 undergraduates, and more than 200 international students on campus. It has Le Dao Academy, Ji Shi Academy and Confucius School. There are 13 provincial joint training bases for postgraduates and 17 affiliated hospitals. Its library holds a collection of more than 3.8 million volumes，including 2.398 million electronic books.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, WFMU is qualified to recruit international students for Clinical Medicine (English teaching). It has established friendly inter-school cooperation with colleges and research institutions among more than 20 countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and Korea and so on, and carried out all-round and high-level international cooperation in the medical and biomedical field.

Job description 

Three full-time foreign teachers of spoken English for undergraduate English majors or postgraduate non-majors;

Qualifications

  1. Native Speaker.

  2. Bachelor or above.

  3. At least two-year language teaching experience and having received specialized training in language teaching.

  4. Under 65 years, healthy with no major diseases, no criminal record, no bad habits.

  5. Being capable of completing teaching included in the agreement.

Duties

  1. Work’s 5 days per week with maximum 20 periods of teaching，no more than 8 hours per day．The details of work are as following.

  2. Giving English lectures for the Students.

  3. Taking part in compiling and recording audio—visual and other teaching material.

  4. Taking part in activities assigned by Administration Department, such as English corner 12 times every semester, be the judge for English Competition 3 times every semester and etc.

  5. Giving a cultural lecture for teachers or students every semester.

  6. Completing other related work assigned by Part A.

Welfare

  1. Monthly salary is around RMB 8000-10000 (before tax).

  2. Apartment with furniture provided.

  3. WFMU should purchase comprehensive insurance for foreigners.
